The London City School District is proud to announce that student Julia Mullins and teacher Tyler Wallin have been selected to participate in the JASON Learning Argonaut program. This highly competitive program selects only a few individuals each year to participate in scientific expeditions around the world.
As part of the program, Mullins and Wallin will join a team of scientists, engineers, and educators to explore Acadia National Park in Maine. The JASON Learning Argonaut program aims to inspire and educate the next generation of leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by providing unique opportunities for students and educators to work side-by-side with experts in the field.
Mullins, an 8th-grade student at LMS, was selected for her exceptional academic achievements in science and her passion for environmental conservation. She is excited to explore Acadia National Park and hopes to learn more about the ecosystems that exist within the park.
Wallin, an experienced science teacher at LHS, was chosen for his commitment to STEM education and his dedication to mentoring students in science. He is excited to bring back his experiences to the classroom and inspire his students to pursue careers in STEM fields.
The JASON Learning Argonaut program is an incredible opportunity for Mullins and Wallin, and LCS is proud to support their participation. We are confident that this experience will inspire them to achieve even greater success in their academic and professional careers.
