At the National Robotics Challenge, London High School students displayed their programming skills as they first programmed their robot to detect its competitor using ultrasonic sensors. With careful coding and testing, the robot was able to accurately sense the presence of its competitor and identify its position within the sumo square. This demonstrated the students' proficiency in utilizing sensor technology to gather data and make decisions in real time.
The presence of Honda employees and other corporate sponsors added an additional layer of excitement to the event. Our students had the opportunity to interact with industry professionals, gaining insights into real-world applications of robotics and receiving valuable feedback on their work. This experience not only enhanced their technical skills but also provided them with invaluable exposure to the field of robotics and potential career opportunities.
