London High School recently held its "Career from Here" event, an initiative designed to expose students to a wide range of career possibilities by bringing professionals from industries such as Social Work, County Prosecution, Home Health Care, Information Technology, Real Estate, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), Cappy’s Restaurant, and general Healthcare into direct dialogue with the students. The event featured workshops and presentations, where industry experts shared insights into their respective fields, discussing day-to-day responsibilities, educational paths, and the skills necessary for success.
The response to the event was highly positive, with students showing increased interest in exploring new career paths. Each session included interactive elements like Q&A segments and hands-on activities, making the learning process engaging and relatable. Encouraged by the success, London High School plans to make "Career from Here" an annual event, thereby continuing to provide valuable career guidance and strengthen connections between education and local industries.
