Cross Country Trail

The London City School District has a rich history of serving as a valuable community asset, extending its facilities for public use and recreational activities. The district's commitment to community engagement is evident in various initiatives, such as providing well-lit tennis courts accessible to the public outside of student use, allowing city recreation leagues to utilize on-campus gyms, hosting youth leagues and travel teams at Bowlus Field, and planning for the shared use of newly developed turf softball and baseball fields.

The district has taken steps to enhance its natural areas by creating walking trails, primarily intended to support the needs of the cross-country teams. Recognizing the broader community benefits and in collaboration with All Scapes Landscaping, about a mile and a quarter of district property has been cleared, leveled, and planted with grass to make the trails more accessible and visually appealing.

It's important to note that these newly developed trails are specifically designed for walking and running purposes. It is crucial to adhere to certain guidelines, as biking and using any motorized vehicles are strictly prohibited on these trails to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all users.

By continually expanding its offerings to the community and enhancing natural spaces, the London City School District exemplifies its goal of being an effective steward of district resources.
