London Elementary School’s youngest learners recently embarked on a creative and interactive literacy project in Angie Kanning’s kindergarten class. Students explored different types of museums through virtual tours, learning to distinguish between facts and opinions along the way. They shared their opinions on which museum they’d most like to visit, sparking thoughtful conversations and early critical thinking skills.
The students created vibrant abstract art pieces of their own. These masterpieces were showcased in a classroom gallery walk, allowing students to display their creativity and celebrate their work with peers and visitors. Mrs. Kanning’s engaging project demonstrated the power of hands-on learning, inspiring curiosity and imagination in these budding artists.
