The London City School District held its 2025 organizational and monthly regular meeting on Tuesday, January 14th. During the organizational meeting, both Mr. Geib and Mr. Cooper were reelected as President and Vice President of the Board, respectively. The Board voted to elect Mrs. Wendler as a voting member during the Ohio School Board Association Delegate Assembly and voted for Mrs. Reay as both the OSBA Legislative and Student Achievement liaison. In addition, the Board established meeting dates for the year and made several other procedural declarations and committee appointments.
Following the organizational meeting, the Board proceeded with its regular monthly meeting, presided over by Board President Mr. Marshall Geib.
Early in the meeting, the Board of Education approved a resolution recognizing Kristy Zubrick for Career Success and Fairness in reporting and nominating her for the 2025 OSBA Media Honor Roll.
During her Treasurer’s Report, Ms. Blind shared that the district recently completed its annual audit with no issues. Ms. Blind also recommended and the Board approved several donations by community members to the Raider Rack and a recommendation selecting SHP as the design professional for the district tennis court project. Additionally, several routine changes to revenues and appropriations were sanctioned.
During his Superintendent Report, Dr. Kramer called attention to January as Board of Education Appreciation Month. Care packages from the London Elementary Sunshine Committee were presented to Board members, and Dr. Kramer shared that Board Member Spotlight articles will soon be sent to the community through district communications. In addition, the school principals shared a quick recap of changes to the year’s course guides.
During the Superintendent's business, the Board approved several recommended policies and discussed several other policies, which will be approved at a later date. The Board approved the 2025-2026 Course Guides for both LMS and LHS, approved early graduation for several students who have already completed all graduation requirements, green-lighted two overnight trips for athletic teams, and voted for several routine personnel items.
