The In-School Eye Exam (iSee) program, led by the Ohio Optometric Foundation (OOF), provides free eye exams and eyewear to at-risk children across Ohio. Partnering with school districts, OOF works with school nurses to ensure students identified during vision screenings receive the necessary follow-up care. With 80% of learning-dependent on vision, untreated issues can significantly impact a child's academic success.
At our recent iSee event, 19 students were examined, with 17 receiving free glasses. The program, made possible by volunteer optometrists and donated services, brings critical vision care directly to students—giving them a clearer path to success in school and beyond. A special thank you to Dr. Taylor M. Peters and the staff from Mt. Sterling EyeCare for your valued time and dedication to our students. Such a great opportunity for our school!
