Every Tuesday and Thursday, girls at London Elementary School gather for Girls on the Run, a program that builds confidence, encourages physical activity, and fosters positive decision-making. Each session begins with warm-ups and a run, helping participants develop endurance and self-motivation. Lessons focus on topics like standing up for themselves and supporting others, reinforcing the power of positive choices. Through team activities such as relay races, the girls learn to encourage one another and find strength in their connections.
As the season progresses, the girls will gain confidence, resilience, and a deeper appreciation for teamwork. With a celebratory 5K approaching, they are not only preparing for a race but also embracing skills and values that will guide them far beyond the finish line.
