Cognia

London High School recently received notice that it has earned accreditation by Cognia, a nonprofit organization that provides quality assurance for schools and other educational institutions. Cognia, formerly AdvancED, nationally recognizes districts that meet rigorous standards focused on productive learning environments, equitable resource allocation that meets the needs of learners, and effective leadership. To earn accreditation, a school must implement a continuous process of improvement, and submit to an internal and external review.

London High School Principal, Michael Browning, led staff and parents through the credentialing process. He shared, “Although our district already has an improvement plan in place, earning a national accreditation shows people not familiar with our schools that we are committed to improvement and providing the best educational experience possible.”
