11/6 London City Schools encourages you to maintain an attendance calendar or chart at home. At the end of each week, take the time to check in with your student and discuss any absences. Additionally, at the end of the month, revisit the calendar and have a conversation with your student about whether the attendance goals were met. Together, let's make sure they "Stay in the Game" for academic success!

Ms. Jackson's American History students are completing a creative and engaging educational journey through the "Bachelorette of Industry" project. This innovative approach combines traditional learning with modern entertainment elements to immerse students in the history of prominent captains of industry. Students research figures such as John D. Rockefeller, Cornelius Vanderbilt, J.P. Morgan, and Leland Stanford, and then participate in a reality show format, where they impress Ms. Jackson by showcasing their knowledge and understanding of these figures. By fusing education with entertainment, Ms. Jackson has successfully captured her students' attention and enhanced their understanding of American history in a captivating and memorable way, demonstrating that history can be both informative and fun.
London High School's Chartwells staff is bringing a world of flavors to their cafeteria in honor of Global Foods Month. Students and staff are in for a treat as they explore dishes from Mexico, China, India, and Italy. In Ms. Nolan's 2nd grade class, students are currently actively engaged in a hands-on exploration of the pumpkin life cycle. They are observing the fascinating process of pumpkin decay to gain a deeper understanding, all in the hope of growing new pumpkins. As they document the changes in decaying pumpkins over time, the class is learning about the vital role of decay in returning nutrients to the soil, crucial for nurturing new pumpkin plants.
