London Elementary School was recently awarded a $65,000 grant by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce to provide daily fresh fruit and vegetables to all students. The grant, which was applied for by the district’s Food Service Partner, Chartwell’s, is designed to be a creative way to introduce fruits and vegetables as healthy snack options. The program will allow students to have fruits and vegetables at meals and a daily grab-and-go option until 1:30 pm.
