London Middle School student Cameron Carn and LMS teacher Elizabeth Landingham have been tapped as the district’s newest Jason Learning Argonauts for the 2021-2022 school year. The Argonaut program is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for one London student and one London teacher. Cameron and Mrs. Landingham will participate in several online meet-ups with students and scientists from across the country between October and January. During the meet-ups, they will learn more about design thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship. In February, the pair will embark on a three-day expedition to Boston, Massachusetts to visit and learn more about world-renowned research institutes like MIT, biotech manufacturers, and promising startups. While in Boston, the pair will collaborate on solving real-world problems and be able to pitch their own products, ideas, and business models to industry leaders. Cameron and Mrs. Landingham will share their experiences with students and staff of LCS upon their return.
In order to participate in this opportunity, Cameron and Mrs. Landingham submitted an application including a video explaining their interest. The experience and trip are free to the chosen student and staff member as a part of the district’s ongoing partnership with Jason Learning. You can learn more about Jason Learning here.
