Dr. Kramer kicked off the first of several Community Connections Tours earlier this week. The tours, which are limited to six guests at a time, are a fantastic way to learn more about LCS and to ask questions of students, staff, and administrators. Attendees will have the opportunity to walk the halls of each school, visit some of the district's top programs, and sample school breakfast and lunch items. Students will share their first-hand accounts of things they love about their schools and some things they would like to change.
Dr. Kramer explained the reason for the tours is simple. Schools have been in the spotlight and sometimes in the crosshairs of public opinion a great deal over the last few months. Because of that fact, it is easy to forget some of the very good things that our students are doing every day. The tours are also designed as a way to engage those parents or community members that have questions or concerns about district programs.
Tours will continue on December 1st, December 15th, January 12th, and January 26th. Each session will be held from 9:00 - 11 am. Parents and community members interested in participating may sign up using this online form or call the district office at 740.852.5700.
