London Elementary School was one of 100 schools statewide to be awarded a $5,000 grant to expand STEM learning projects through the Ohio STEM Learning Network. The grants, which are funded by Battelle, were designed to create sustainable, STEM learning projects to benefit students for years to come. Written and submitted by Mrs. Carla Shaw, the district’s Director of Digital Learning and Innovation, the grant will help London Elementary create an "Outdoor Learning Lab" surrounding the pond behind LES. The learning lab will be accessible to all elementary classes in order to promote design thinking and other STEM-related mindsets.
