The London City School District Board of Education convened for its organizational meeting on January 9th, 2024. In this session, Mr. Marshall Geib was elected as Board President, and Mr. Donovan Cooper assumed the role of Vice President for the year. In addition, Mrs. Juliet Wendler was appointed as the delegate to the Ohio School Boards Association Annual Conference, with Mrs. Lisa Ready serving as the alternate.
As part of the routine organizational proceedings, the Board approved the schedule for regular meetings throughout 2024. The following committee appointments were also announced:

Following the organizational meeting, the Board proceeded with its regular monthly meeting, presided over by Board President Mr. Marshall Geib.
Treasurer's Report
Mrs. Blind presented the Treasurer's report, highlighting that the district's annual GAAP Audit was in its final review stage and would be filed shortly. Current revenues were on target, and expenses were trending slightly below expectations. Notably, real estate tax evaluations increased significantly, while the district's bond collection rate dropped from 3.0 mills to 2.5 mills, resulting in nominal savings for taxpayers.
Treasurer Business
The Board approved seven donations, primarily for the Raider Rack, amounting to $5345. Additionally, several changes to appropriations were sanctioned.
Superintendent's Report
Dr. Kramer provided updates on the district's strategic plan and outlined recruitment and retention strategies for the 2024-2025 school year.
Superintendent's Business
During the Superintendent's report, the Board conducted the first readings on the LMS Course Guide and an updated Facility Rental Fee Schedule. Final approval was granted for the 2024-2025 LHS Course Guide. The Board also approved early graduation for several students and, in the personnel action, sanctioned long-term leaves and created two additional teaching positions.
