Goal 4

Keeping parents, students, and the community informed is one of our district's top priorities. LCS continues to expand its communication efforts to ensure that important updates, events, and resources are easily accessible. As a reminder, here are a few ways parents and community members can stay connected with LCS.

Weekly School Email Newsletters

Each week, parents receive school-specific newsletters with timely and relevant information on school and district events. To ensure they receive these updates, parents should keep their contact details up to date in Final Forms. So far this school year, 76 newsletters have been sent to families across the district.

Website and Social Media Updates

LCS works to keep the community informed by posting important news and updates through its integrated communication platform. News articles shared on the district website are also distributed through the LCS app and posted on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. With nearly 100 articles and posts shared so far this year, following LCS on social media and enabling app notifications are great ways to stay connected.

The Raiderscope

To further ensure that all district residents—not just parents—stay informed, LCS publishes The Raiderscope, a quarterly magazine mailed to each district household. This year’s Back-to-School Edition was expanded to include the District’s Annual Report and a comprehensive calendar of school events.

Messaging Apps

LCS is working to streamline school communication by consolidating messaging services such as Remind and Band App into a single, district-supported platform. The new system is scheduled to launch during the second semester, making it easier for families to receive important updates for multiple activities in one place.

By taking advantage of these communication tools, parents and community members can stay informed and engaged with everything happening at LCS. For more information, visit the London City Schools website, follow the district on social media, or download the LCS app today.
