On Saturday, March 7th, LHS participated in the 2020 Governor's Youth Art Exhibition first round. The contest is broken up into two rounds, the first round has about twelve thousand entries across the state. LHS attends first round judging in Region 13 which had close to one thousand entries present. Twenty three schools were in attendance and 180 pieces were picked to move on to the state round of judging.
LHS received 21 advancing tags, one of the most for any school in the region. State round of judging was supposed to take place on the 14th but is currently postponed.
