On Friday, August 25, 2023, Battelle's STEM Relationship Manager, Sandy Guinto, and Solar Cart Designer, Jake Kuss, presented the Green Energy Machine to London Middle School's Future Problem Solver 22-23 design team. This presentation was a recognition of their remarkable victory in the OSLN state competition from the previous year.
Last year, students were tasked with fortifying Ohio's security across several critical domains: cyber security, environmental security, energy security, and shelter/disaster security. Rising to this challenge, London Middle School's Future Problem Solvers demonstrated admirable determination. The STEM design team emerged as champions from the Central Ohio regional hub, propelling them to the state level. Their journey culminated in victory at the State competition for Middle School 6-8. The solutions presented by the team stood as a testament to their exceptional creativity and thoughtfulness.
