For several years, the London City School District has partnered with The Counseling Source to provide onsite, outpatient mental health services for students. As an aspect of this partnership, the district provides time and space for families to opt-in for services for their students. By having these services onsite, families are more apt to take advantage of these services as well as limit the amount of time students are out of school. All costs associated with the service are handled by the family in many instances through Medicaid.
LCS has recently partnered with Chrysalis Health Ohio to add an additional therapist in order to expand service to families. If you have the opportunity, please welcome, Ms. Deszarae King, LPC, CDCA to our school. Families interested in services are encouraged to contact Mrs. Melissa Canney (melissa.canney@london.k12.oh.us) or your child’s school counselor for a referral.
