The London City School District has revamped its food service program just in time for the start of the 2021-2022 school year. The district recently partnered with Chartwells in order to offer a greater variety of daily options for students. Meal options will include homemade, comfort favorites like buffalo chicken dip and mac and cheese, lighter options like deli sandwiches and yogurt parfaits, plus trendy innovations like Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches and daily vegetarian options. Students in each school will have a wider selection of options at every meal. You can check out the new menu options for the start of the year here.
Coming this fall, the district will also launch the “Hall of Fame Cafe,” which will be a small food stand located just outside the school store in the LHS commons. The HOF Cafe will serve yummy drinks and quick meal options throughout the day and provide an upgraded space for concessions for indoor activities after school hours.
Best of all, all breakfast and lunch options are free to students everyday, all year long!
Here are a couple of other quick food service facts:
Check out what’s cooking! You can find menus online at london.nutrislice.com or you can download the Nutrislice app from the Apple Store or Google Play.
We want more!! Breakfast and lunch meals are free, but students may wish to purchase extra sides or snacks. Parents can check food service balances and add funds to student accounts by following the Pay School Central Link on the Food Service homepage.
Keep those Free/Reduced Applications Coming. Students will receive free meals with or without an application but you must have an eligible application on file to have students fees waived (In the high school) or receive PEBT benefits. Apply by downloading an application from the Food Service Homepage and submitting it to the school office. You must reapply each year.
